Chang S. Nam is Director of the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Laboratory and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Arkansas. He received a Ph.D degree in Human Factors/Ergonomics from Virginia Tech in 2003. Dr. Nam's research activities focus on adaptive and intelligent human-computer interaction, brain-computer interface (BCI), haptic virtual environments (HAVEs), and ubiquitous computing.
His funded research has been supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), Mack-Blackwell Transportation Center (MBTC), and Arkansas Highway Transportation Department (AHTD).
Dr. Nam periodically reviews manuscripts for several leading journals, and has served on numerous conference scientific committees, including program committees for the
International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (HCII), the IASTED International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction (IASTED-HCI), and the IASTED International Conference on Education and Technology (IASTED-ICET).
